I couldn’t really taste the matcha as much as I would like. Most of the drinks I have tried where top shelf bar quality. This one seems to lack behind
I am really enjoying the new cocktails, they are all fantastic looking forward to even more choices.
The perfect addition to my man cave and it's a huge hit with everyone who has tried it. Two of my friends already said they wanted to order one, so you may end up with some more orders coming from the Poconos. As with most honest reviews, there are plus and minuses. The pluses far outweigh the negatives. In fact, outside of it being kind of expensive and not as well made as my Keurig Coffee machine, I'd say that's the only negatives I can come up with. Now for some of the many positives: I love the fact that you can use your own alcohol. I tend to be a drink snob and only want to drink top shelf stuff. With this, I'm in full control. I would, however like to get a second set of dispenser bottles, as I'd like to be able to swap top shelf for mid range, when certain alcoholic friends of mine stop by. I'd also like to be able to get a pod dispenser to keep near the machine. As for the quality of the drinks, that is the most surprising part of it. It makes drinks like you'd expect to get at any high end bar. It's super simple to use, practically no cleanup and the drinks are AWESOME...
I am not a traditional Gin drinker. I've learned with this and some other Gin drinks to use a tool like www.theginisin.com to find a gin that has a flavor profile that works for you. We use New Amsterdam gin which is strong on the citrus, medium on the heat, and no juniper or spice. Now that's boring for serious gin drinkers but it really works well with this cocktail! It makes the Matcha Martini taste fruity and orange-y.
Love this one. The regular Gin Martini is a little too strong for my tastes (I prefer fruitier drinks). This one adds a little sweetness while keeping the sophistication of a martini. I am a huge matcha fan too so that was definitely a big plus!
